Fuentes Announces Keynote Speaker for Third Annual Hispanic Leadership
Summit scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013(AUDUBON) - Assemblyman Angel Fuentes (D-Camden/Gloucester) has announced the keynote speaker for the Third Annual Hispanic Leadership Summit
Summit scheduled for Saturday, September 28, 2013, starting at 8:30 a.m.
Juan Andrade is CEO and Founder of the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute, based in Chicago, Ill. Mr. Andrade has the distinction of being only one of two Latinos in history to receive a Presidential Medal, his being presented by President Bill Clinton.
"Mr. Andrade is an excellent addition to the Summit, and we look forward to hearing him address attendees," said Assemblyman Fuentes. "The United States Hispanic Leadership Institute's mission to empower Latinos and other disenfranchised groups closely matches our goals. On behalf of myself and the host committee, I thank Mr. Andrade for agreeing to join us this year."
Assemblyman Fuentes has chaired the Hispanic Leadership Summits to increase dialogue between members of the Hispanic community from all sectors, to help non-profit organizations access all level of government, to strengthen civic awareness, and to facilitate citizen participation in the electoral process. The events have included prominent Hispanic political, business and religious leaders from throughout the state, as well veterans, college students, non-profit organizations and more.
The theme of this year's Summit is Honoring Our Past, which looks back at those who have opened the doors for today's Hispanic community to grow and succeed.
