(TRENTON) -- Assembly Budget Committee Chairman Gary S. Schaer (D-Passaic) and Assembly Budget Committee member Joseph Cryan (D-Union) issued a multimedia package Wednesday of excerpts from the committee's questioning of the state treasurer on his department's lack of plans to deal with the $800 million revenue shortfall in the current year budget.

The pair of lawmakers questioned the treasurer's rationale of waiting until his May 21 appearance before the panel to present them with details of how treasury expects to close the current year budget deficit.

The multimedia package consists of a video excerpt from the Assembly Budget Committee hearing and audio of same.

The video can be accessed directly via our website -- www.assemblydems.com -- or by clicking here.

The audio file is available upon request.
