The Operations Manager maintains personnel records for the Assembly Majority Office. She coordinates the office’s administrative support staff and helps members and district offices navigate state procurement, hiring and policies.
Ms. Lavine also serves as the executive assistant to the executive director.
Sarah Lavine began interning for the Assembly Majority Office in May 2001 while attending college.
In addition to interning at the majority office, Ms. Lavine has interned with the Center for American Women and Politics at Eagleton and the Department of Community Affairs’ Office of Smart Growth. Ms. Lavine became a full-time member of the office in 2006.
Ms. Lavine is very active with the New Jersey Odyssey of the Mind, a nationwide program that promotes creativity and problem solving for school-aged children.
Born and raised in Mercer County, Ms. Lavine now resides in Florence Township, Burlington County with her husband and miniature dachshund, Bailey.
Ms. Lavine graduated from Douglass College at Rutgers University with a bachelor's in political science and a bachelor's in religion. She received her master's in public policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University.
