Responsiblities
Administrative Assistants serve as information and communication managers for their respective Assembly Majority Office staff and are responsible for numerous tasks that make the office run smoothly. Responsibilities include planning meetings and organizing and maintaining files of legislative documents and records.
Background
Martha Newmeyer was born in Colombia and came to the United States in 1993.
Settling in Mercer County, Mrs. Newmeyer joined the staff of the Assembly Majority Office in November 2005, working as an administrative assistant to the policy director and serving as the office’s bilingual receptionist.
Mrs. Newmeyer's previous job experience includes five years as an administrative assistant at Sonoco Products, Co., in Jamesburg and seven years as a medical billing specialist with NJ Medicaid/Unisys Corporation in Trenton.
Education
Mrs. Newmeyer attended Mercer County Community College where she studied English and computers.
