Providing a forum to address community issues, formulate solutions and encourage action, Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake (D-Essex, Passaic) will host her monthly “Hour of Power” lunchtime community empowerment meeting.
Launched in February during Black History Month, the gathering features guest speakers covering a variety of community issues. The May meeting will celebrate mothers and honor the following women:
- Cathy Walsh Timberlake: Mother of Assemblywoman Timberlake; retired educator of mentally and physically challenged students
- Augusta Starks: Retired Essex County educator
- Natalie Heard Hackett: Educator, administrator, editor of Tap into Montclair
Hour of Power will be held at Assemblywoman Timberlake’s district office located at 520 Main Street, East Orange, New Jersey 07018 at 2 pm. For more information, please call (973) 395-1166.
