Assemblywoman Mila Jasey (D-Essex/Morris) had the following published in The Times of Trenton:
” As the lead sponsor of legislation A3081 to require a 15-member task force that would include parents and education professionals to review the new education standards, I believe the governor’s commitment to carry out the study is a step forward, but it is unreasonable to expect that his hand-picked commission will provide the level of impartial review this process warrants.
“If Gov. Christie’s genuine intent is to do what’s best for our kids, then he cannot afford to ignore the voices of some of the most influential men and women in their lives…”
