Timberlake to Hold Press Conference on Bill Calling for AG To Handle Cases Involving Death While in Law Enforcement Custody
Measure Awaits Action from Governor
Seeking gubernatorial action on a bill that has passed both the New Jersey Senate and Assembly, Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake (D-Essex, Passaic) will hold a press conference regarding bill A-3115, a measure that calls for the Attorney General to handle the investigation and prosecution of a crime involving death by a law enforcement officer acting in the officer's official capacity, or while in custody, and for the trial to be held outside of the county where the incident occurred.
The press conference will be held Wednesday, January 30 at 10 a.m. in Assemblywoman Timberlake's district office, 520 Main Street, Suite 1, East Orange, NJ 07018. Media are asked to RSVP to email@example.com.
