Vitale, Coughlin & Lopez Statement on Passing of Babs Siperstein

(TRENTON) – Members of New Jersey’s 19th Legislative District Senator Joseph Vitale, Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin and Assemblywoman Yvonne Lopez (all D-Middlesex) issued the following statement Monday on the passing of LGBTQ trailblazer and advocate, Babs Siperstein:

“Babs Siperstein was a tireless advocate who fought for the rights of LGBTQ individuals across our state and nation. This is a sad day. We offer our deepest sympathy to Dorothy, her children and grandchildren. Babs lived an inspiring life, one we should all aspire to live each day. May Babs rest in peace and may her work and legacy continue forward. We will honor Babs by continuing to work with LGBTQ advocates to ensure her vision for a New Jersey that is inclusive of everyone comes to fruition.”
