Assemblyman John Armato (D-Atlantic) released the following statement on the passing of Buena Vista Mayor Chuck Chiarello:
“I’m deeply saddened by the passing of my friend and longtime Buena Vista Township Mayor Chuck Chiarello. Over the course of the 25 years I’ve known Chuck, I’ve never met anyone with more passion and commitment to public service.
“Beyond his 22 years as Mayor of Buena Vista, Chuck had the distinction of serving as the Chairman of the Atlantic County Democrats, and as President of the League of Municipalities and the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.
“His contributions to public service are immeasurable, and I will be forever grateful for the friendship we shared. My heart goes out to his wife Cheryl, and the entire Buena Vista community.”
