Assembly Budget Committee to hold Public Hearing on Proposed State Budget

(TRENTON) – The Assembly Budget Committee will meet Wednesday for its first public hearing on the proposed state budget for the fiscal year that starts July 1.
The hearing will start at 9:30 a.m. in Committee 11 on the 4th Floor of the State House Annex in Trenton. Audio of the hearing will be streamed at http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/media/live_audio.asp.
A second public hearing is scheduled for April 9, followed by hearings with Murphy administration Cabinet officials beginning on April 11.
“This is just the beginning of a three-month process to finalize a state budget that meets the needs of our families and builds a strong economy,” said Assembly Budget Chairwoman Eliana Pintor Marin (D-Essex). “We’ll be here to listen and learn as we start a thorough and thoughtful review of this budget plan. As always, our priority is to protect New Jersey’s families.”
