“Today’s announcement by Attorney General Sessions that the Trump Administration will end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) is wrong – and will be judged by future generations as a moment in which the good nature of this great nation and its hope for a righteous future was suppressed by a small minority of people driven by anger and hate.
“Donald Trump has repeatedly shown that his words can’t be trusted – but this is his most damaging lie yet. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement.
“It is now time for all members of Congress – with a strong focus on sensible Republicans – to right this wrong through much over-due legislation. There are more than enough votes to get this done if Republicans want to lead. We will hold every single Republican in Congress responsible for this moral failure. They have chosen their leadership and they will each own the repercussions of choosing to be on the wrong side of history.”
