Assembly Transportation Panel Schedules Thursday Hearing to Take Testimony from former top Port Authority Official on Decision to Close Access Lanes to George Washington Bridge

(TRENTON) – The Assembly transportation panel has scheduled a Thursday hearing to hear from a former top Port Authority of New York and New Jersey official on the decision to reduce – without prior notice – the number of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee from Sept. 9 through Sept. 13.
The Assembly Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee will meet on Thursday at noon in a committee room to be determined in the State House Annex in Trenton.
The committee has subpoenaed David Wildstein, the former Director of Interstate Capital Projects for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, concerning the decision by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to reduce, without prior public notice, the number of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee from Sept. 9 through Sept. 13.
