Assemblyman Freiman on NJ Transit Announcement of Dinky Line Restoration Date

Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D- Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Somerset) issued the following statement Tuesday regarding New Jersey Transit’s recent announcement that the Princeton Branch (Dinky) line will be fully restored on Friday, May 24:

“This is exciting, long-awaited news for the members of our community who rely on the Dinky Line both personally and professionally. Knowing that we now have a confirmed date on which this line will be restored means that Dinky line riders can better plan the various logistical aspects of their daily commuting. While this is significant progress, there is more work to be done for New Jersey commuters who depend upon the other lines that are still suspended.

“In addition, I applaud my colleague, Assemblyman Daniel Benson (D-Mercer, Middlesex), chair of the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee, for serving as a tireless advocate for those who have been greatly inconvenienced by the suspension of the Dinky Line for the past several months.”
