Assemblyman Louis Greenwald has been selected by his fellow Assembly Democrats to serve as Majority Leader for the 2022-2023 legislative session. This will be the Assemblyman’s seventh consecutive term as Majority Leader.
Assemblyman Greenwald, who represents municipalities in Burlington and Camden Counties, has been a legislator since 1996. He previously served as the Assembly Budget Chair from 2002 to 2011.
The Assemblyman has a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and has played a significant role in advancing cancer research, mental health and commonsense gun reform measures during his tenure.
Upon the announcement of his selection as Majority Leader, Assemblyman Greenwald (D-Camden, Burlington) issued the following statement:
