Assemblywoman Downey on Human Services & Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield Collaboration Enhancing New Jersey’s Addiction Treatment Options

(TRENTON) – The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and Shatterproof recently announced their collaboration to expand the free resource ATLAS (Addiction Treatment Locator, Assessment, and Standards platform) to the people in New Jersey seeking addiction treatment options.

Assemblywoman Joann Downey, Chair of the Assembly Human Services Committee, issued the following statement:

“The first step to overcoming addiction is getting help, but people often do not know where to start. This program will provide an online reference guide which will allow those struggling with addiction to easily find the help they need. ATLAS is a free resource which will provide easy access to essential services aimed at helping people overcome addiction.   The collaboration between the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield and Shatterproof will support people taking that first step toward bettering their lives.”
