(TRENTON) – Public hearings on four proposed constitutional amendments that would go to voters for approval, along with legislation to raise the tobacco age to 21, prohibit schools from holding back student athletes for non-academics, improve transparency of student social media monitoring by testing companies and study electronic driver’s licenses in New Jersey highlight Thursday’s Assembly committee meetings.
Also on tap: the Health Care Consumer Cost Transparency Act, improved on-campus crime reporting, county government reform, the Atlantic City Growth Tax Credit Program, help for homeless students, improved care for children who have been sexually assaulted, driver’s license endorsement for autonomous vehicles, improved pedestrian safety and enhanced railroad bridge safety.

The Assembly Judiciary Committee will hold a public hearing at 11 a.m. in Committee Room 12, 4th Floor, State House Annex.
