Beach, Greenwald & Lampitt: Racism, Vandalism Have No Place in Our Communities

(VOORHEES)–Today, Senator James Beach, Assembly Majority Leader Louis Greenwald and Assemblywoman Pamela Lampitt (all D-Camden/Burlington) issued the following statement in response to a report that vandals spray-painted racial slurs on homes and vehicles in an historically African-American neighborhood in Haddon Township:

“We strongly condemn these deplorable acts of vandalism and intolerance. We are relieved that this incident did not involve physical harm to any individuals or families, and our thoughts go out to the Saddlertown community.

“These types of acts are as cowardly as they are disgusting, and we are hopeful that those who committed these hateful crimes on innocent people will be investigated and prosecuted by our hard-working law enforcement officers to the full extent of the law.”
