BENSON ANNOUNCES OPENING OF NEW 14TH DISTRICT CONSTITUENT SERVICE CENTER

Open House to be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM

Assemblyman Daniel R. Benson today announced the opening of his new 14th Legislative District office in Hamilton Square at 3691A Nottingham Way in the Shoppes at Nottingham Village Square (adjacent to the Cookie Cottage).

The new office provides an additional location for 14th District residents to obtain information and apply for state programs as well as get assistance with cutting through red tape at state agencies to resolve constituent issues. Benson joins 14th District Legislators Senator Linda Greenstein and Assemblyman Wayne DeAngelo who have offices in Monroe and Hamilton Townships respectively.

“I am pleased to announce the official opening of my constituent service center located in Hamilton Square. Listening to the concerns of constituents is very important to me. I invite anyone who wants to express their views on any state issue or who needs help contacting a state department to resolve a problem, to stop by my office. We are here to help,” said Benson.

Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM with extended hours on Wednesdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM. Residents can also call Benson at (609) 631-0198 or email him at AsmBenson@njleg.org.

“To make it more convenient for residents who work during the day and would like to meet with me directly or visit our office to obtain valuable information, we’ve extended our office hours to 7pm on Wednesday evenings,” said Benson.

In addition to extended office hours, Assemblyman Benson will hold “mobile district offices” once a month on Saturdays with Senator Greenstein and Assemblyman DeAngelo in different municipalities around the district on a rotating basis. “Mobile District Offices” provide an opportunity for constituents to meet with their legislators one-on-one in a relaxed setting to discuss their concerns and request any needed assistance.

Benson added, “As I work to make New Jersey more affordable and improve the quality of life for all our residents, I ask for their input and opinion on the issues that matter most to them and their families.”

The new constituent service center will be in addition to the current 14th District offices located at 7 Centre Drive, Suite 2 in Monroe Township and 2239 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd. Suite E in Hamilton Township. Greenstein, DeAngelo and Benson represent the 14th Legislative District which consists of portions of Middlesex and Mercer counties.
