Assemblyman Daniel Benson (D-Mercer, Middlesex), Chair of the Assembly Transportation and Independent Authorities Committee, issued the following statement regarding the New Jersey Department of Transportation’s announcement that over $1.5 million in grants has been awarded to two Mercer County Airports:
“These grants are going to make a significant and positive impact on the Trenton Mercer and Trenton Robbinsville Airports by enabling crucial improvements to these sites. Repairing the runways will make these airports safer for pilots and passengers alike. This funding represents our State’s continued commitment to prioritizing the modernization and reinforcement of our transportation infrastructure.”
