(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Dan Benson (Mercer, Middlesex) issued the following statement regarding the full Assembly’s approval of the FY 2023 budget:
“This year’s budget makes a significant investment into New Jersey’s transportation infrastructure and is exactly what our State needs to make the necessary improvements to our rail stations, improving security and accessibility. Train stations, tunnels, and other large infrastructure projects will finally get the aid they need.
“Couple that with the $2 billion in tax relief and other taxpayer benefits. The Anchor Program will give homeowners and renters relief from property taxes and families across our state will see these benefits. I am proud we were able to hear affordability concerns and are delivering with helpful tax relief, while lowering debt, increasing surplus, and making critical investments for our future.”
