Burzichelli on Assembly Panel Approval of A-4392

Bill Concerns Funding for PATH Train Extension, Airport Improvements

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John Burzichelli (D-Cumberland, Gloucester, Salem) issued the following statement Thursday afternoon:
“This legislation is about access and improving New Jersey’s transportation infrastructure.

“A new station with a direct path to Newark International Airport would not only provide jobs during its construction but local access to jobs for New Jersey residents. It benefits both residents and airlines.

“We’re generating funding for a much-needed transportation project without competing with other pending transit developments. There’s so much we can accomplish here. It will be good for the state and its residents.

“I thank the supporters of the legislation who attended the committee meeting this morning. Like any bill, this is a work in progress, and we will continue to hear from interested parties as we move forward.”
