Assemblyman John Burzichelli (D-Gloucester/Cumberland/Salem) released the following statement on the passing of Congressman Franks:
“Congressman Franks will forever be known as a prime example of what means to be dedicated to public service.
“Earlier this year, when I was named chairman of the new Assembly Regulatory and Oversight Committee charged with cutting the red tape that has impaired our business environment, I called on Congressman Franks for consultation because he worked in this area during his Assembly tenure.
“He was extremely gracious with his time and advise.
“His counsel was appreciated and will continue to be helpful as the committee moves forward.
“Congressman Franks was a true public servant who always put policy above partisanship. He will be missed.”
