Caputo: New Jersey Should Put a Magnifying Glass on PokerStars

(TRENTON) — Assemblyman Ralph R. Caputo (D-Essex) had the following published recently in the Newark Star-Ledger:

“PokerStars, the disgraced online gambling giant that was accused of multiple federal crimes, is once again trying to enter the New Jersey marketplace, this time under the guise of a sale to a licensed company.

“And while PokerStars has a history of bad behavior — behavior that resulted in the indictment of its former chief executive officer and owner and another high-ranking executive — the state is once again debating whether the firm has a place in Atlantic City…”
