Assembly Democrats Ralph Caputo and Connie Wagner had the following published Thursday in The Record of Bergen County:
“The news is coming quickly these days when it comes to gaming, and unfortunately none of it is all that good for New Jersey. First, Governor Christie’s advisory commission released a report that could very well doom New Jersey’s gaming industry by denying the obvious — we are facing ferocious competition from other states from racinos and other new gaming offerings.
“Then came word that Malaysia-based casino operator Genting was selected by the New York Lottery to operate the proposed slot machine casino at the Aqueduct Racetrack…”
