Caride: NJ Residents Deserve Explanation on GWB Lane Closure

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Marlene Caride (D-Bergen/Passaic) issued the following statement on Thursday following the Assembly transportation panel’s inquiry into the involvement of the governor’s office in the George Washington Bridge lane closure debacle:

“I am frustrated that we were unable to get any answers from Mr. Wildstein.

“Residents of Fort Lee and all the commuters from surrounding towns, which include my district, deserve a full explanation for not only what transpired in September but also for the flip manner in which the governor’s office and his appointees disregarded the safety of the residents of Bergen County and the State of New Jersey.

“I will support any action deemed wise by Assembly Transportation Chair Wisniewski to get to the bottom of this reprehensible action.”
