(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Annette Chaparro (D-Hudson) issued the following statement on today’s budget vote:
“There is enough anxiety about health care with what’s happening in Washington. We should not add to it by entertaining a bill that only serves the governor. The Horizon bill amounts to a money grab that punishes policyholders. That we’re considering a government shutdown because of it is a true disservice to the people we represent. Let’s all remember that our allegiance is to the taxpayers of this state, not the governor.
