CONAWAY: CHRISTIE PLAN HURTS HEALTH CARE

(TRENTON) – Assembly Health and Senior Services Chairman Herb Conaway, M.D. (D-Burlington/Camden) released the following statement Tuesday after Gov. Chris Christie’s budget speech:

“So much for that no-tax hike vow.

“Trying to boost charity care for hospitals is a shared goal, but doing it by increasing hospital taxes is highly questionable.

“New Jersey already has a nursing shortage and, under the budget unveiled by Gov. Christie, it’ll soon have a doctor and hospital shortage too.”
