Assemblyman Herb Conaway, Jr., M.D. (D-Burlington) praised the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling Friday in favor of marriage equality across the nation:
“Today’s Supreme Court’s ruling favor of marriage equality is on the right side of the law, and history.
“The decision is a victory not just for those in the LGBT community, who have waited far too long for the same rights afforded to others, but for all who have fought for equal protection under the law.
“The Supreme Court’s historic decision is another step in the long march toward fairness and justice and the broad recognition of our common humanity.”
