CONNERS NAMED LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR BY NJ FIRE & EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES INSTITUTE

(TRENTON) — Assemblyman Jack Conners has been named the New Jersey Fire & Emergency Medical Services Institute’s 2010 Legislator of the Year.

“New Jersey’s fire and EMS first responders are one of the bravest and most talented groups of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with during my time as a legislator,” said Conners (D-Camden). “It is absolutely humbling to receive such a high honor from them.”

Founded in 1991, the institute works to inform members of the Legislative and Executive branches of issues concerning fire and emergency services in a non-partisan, unbiased fashion, with the goal of eliminating the loss of life and property caused by fire and medical emergencies.

Conners will formally be presented his award during the institute’s third annual dinner June 14.
