COUTINHO: SCANT DETAILS ON CHRISTIE’S NEW DCA FUND

(TRENTON) — Assemblyman Albert Coutinho (D-Essex) released the following statement on Wednesday:

“New Jersey taxpayers deserve better than the vague explanation they’re getting so far on Gov. Christie’s plan to create a new aid fund within the Department of Community Affairs.

“A fund that has no defined rules, unclear oversight and scant details is ripe for waste. A better detailing is required.

“If Gov. Christie’s municipal aid cuts alone are going to increase property taxes for the average taxpayer by $250, than those taxpayers deserve better than the scant details being shared so far by the administration on the creation of the governor’s new DCA fund.”
