Cryan: A Shameful Day for Washington Indeed

Assemblyman Joseph Cryan (D-Union) released the following statement Wednesday after the U.S. Senate failed to pass gun violence prevention legislation:

“President Obama was right when he described this as a shameful day for Washington. It’s hard to comprehend that common sense gun violence prevention reforms cannot pass, even after so much tragedy and sadness. President Obama was also right when he said those who stand in the way of common sense gun violence prevention change will eventually have to answer to the voters. That simple fact gives me hope we will see national progress sooner rather than later.”
