CRYAN: ‘IT’S TIME TO DEFEND NEIGHBORHOOD HEROES’

Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Cryan had the following published in the Daily Journal:

“In the neighborhood where I grew up, I recall the kids whose dads were firemen and policemen. We didn’t have “Take Your Child to Work Day,” just an appreciation that their fathers were there to look out for us.

“But today, in certain political worlds, these heroes are denigrated…It’s a sad state of affairs when the leader of the state of New Jersey plays “us” against “them,” in this the most ethnically, culturally and economically diverse state in the country. Governors should unite people in a common cause, not play one against the other…”
