Assemblyman Joe Danielsen will host his third annual job fair on April 19 in Somerset.
The event, organized in conjunction with the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce and The Imperia, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Imperia, 1714 Easton Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the free event and network with recruiters for opportunities with public and private entities within the Central Jersey region. The event will be preceded by career workshops on interviewing skills, rÉsumÉ writing, job search techniques, and proper attire from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
“Almost a decade after the start of the Great Recession, many people in New Jersey continue to have a hard time finding work that aligns with their skill set and education level while also paying enough for them to support a family,” said Danielsen (D-Middlesex/Somerset). “There’s a great deal of untapped talent in our state. This job fair will connect people who are unemployed, underemployed or just looking for a career change to good opportunities with top companies.”
Some of the 68 companies thus far registered to be represented at the job fair include: American Water, Bayada Home Health Care, Johnson & Johnson, the New Jersey Community College Consortium, New York Life Insurance Company, Primerica, Prudential Advisors, Saint Peter’s Healthcare System, Saker ShopRites, Six Flags, TD Bank, and Wakefern Food Corp.
