Assembly Education Chairman Patrick J. Diegnan Jr. (D-Middlesex) had the following published on the East Brunswick Patch :
“It would be irresponsible to authorize virtual charter schools, and then put standards in place to regulate, fund and judge their performance. It goes beyond the old adage of putting the cart before the horse – we are essentially putting the hay before the cart before the horse.…”
