Diegnan: "Patriot’s Corner" Fitting Tribute to NJ Soldiers Currently Serving in Armed Forces, NJ National Guard Diegnan sponsored the law to create the permanent tribute in the State House

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Patrick (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement Wednesday following the unveiling of the “Patriot’s Corner” plaque in the State House honoring New Jersey’s active soldiers:

“The sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform are invaluable.

“There are many memorials dedicated to soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty, and they are well deserved. This memorial honors those who continue to carry on that mission at home and abroad. It is wonderful to know that every visitor who comes through the State House will have a chance to pay tribute to those New Jersey residents actively serving and protecting their country.

“In this day and age, with so many distractions, it is easy to forget the contributions made by our men and women in uniform. Patriot’s Corner will serve as a permanent reminder of the enormous responsibility taken on by New Jersey soldiers to keep us, and our neighbors around the world, safe.”
