(MONROE) – On Thursday, October 7, Assemblyman Patrick J. Diegnan, Jr., was honored by the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance at a dinner held at Forsgate Country Club.
The Assemblyman was presented with the “Friend of the YMCA” award in recognition of his work on behalf of the organization.
Pam Brown, Board President of the Metuchen-Edison-Woodbridge-South Amboy YMCA, presented Assemblyman Diegnan with his award.
Other honorees included Senator Diane Allen, Christopher Daggett, CEO of the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, and a number of young men and women who were recognized for their exceptional volunteerism on behalf of the YMCA.
In accepting the award, Assemblyman Diegnan stated how honored he was to be in such impressive company. “I am almost embarrassed to be honored in the company of Senator Allen and Mr. Daggett,” he stated. “The YMCA builds strong communities and the young volunteers being honored this evening are evidence on the positive impact the organization has on our youth.”
