Eustace: Christie’s Vetoes of Voter Registration Bills were Ill-Advised

(TRENTON) — Assemblyman Timothy J. Eustace (D-Bergen) had the following published recently in The Record:

“Access to voting is always a paramount concern, and a key to maintaining a strong and healthy democracy. Part of that means making certain our laws not only are modern, but also make common sense.

“Two recent bills I sponsored aimed to accomplish those goals, but, unfortunately, Governor Christie decided to put misplaced ideology above improving our access to the polls. That’s a shame, though perhaps unsurprising when one considers how often Christie puts his political ambition above what’s best for New Jersey…”
