(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-Bergen/Passaic) released the following statement after Gov. Christie on Monday dropped his fight against marriage equality in New Jersey:
“I am thrilled Gov. Christie has decided to stop fighting equal treatment under the law. I wish he had done so sooner, but better late than never.
“Today was already a very special day for so many loving couples across the state, but now it is even more remarkable.
“Equality always wins out in the end.
“And that’s great for everyone in our state.”
