(Trenton) – Assemblyman Timothy J. Eustace (D-Bergen, Passaic) issued the following statement regarding Thursday’s court decision to deny the state’s application for a stay of the recent marriage equality ruling:
“I am thrilled for the citizens of the state of New Jersey. This is a great victory for civil rights as we move toward equality for all. Oct 21st will be a celebration of equality and solidarity for many New Jerseyans as it rightfully should be.
“Any further appeal will only add insult to injury. Let this stand, Governor. It is time for equal treatment for all citizens under the law.”
