Freiman to Participate in March for Our Lives Rally in Princeton

(PRINCETON) – Assemblyman Roy Freiman (D-Somerset, Mercer, Middlesex, and Hunterdon) announced Friday that he will be a guest speaker at the March for Our Lives Rally taking place at Hinds Plaza in Princeton this Saturday.

“As a father, husband of a teacher, and a gun owner, I proudly lend my support to March for Our Lives and the national effort to ending gun violence,” said Freiman. “We cannot ignore our children asking us to protect them from gun violence. I am honored to stand with students, colleagues, and residents and say ‘this is where we draw the line’. Enough.

“Too many young lives have been lost to gun violence in the last decade. More than 400 people have been shot in over 200 school shootings in less than six years. There’s critical legislative and community work to be done to protect our children and school staff.”

Freiman plans to discuss his proposed legislation that would raise the minimum age to buy rifles and shot guns in New Jersey to 21. He will also stress the importance of being involved in the political process.

March for Our Lives rallies are taking place in communities all over the country in an effort to raise awareness and protest against gun violence in the United States.

The Princeton March for Our Lives Rally is scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 24, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in Hinds Plaza, which is located in front of Princeton Public Library, 65 Witherspoon Street.
