(CAMDEN) – The Camden Schools Foundation has inducted Assemblyman Angel Fuentes (D-Camden/Gloucester) into the Camden’s Best Hall of Fame at its third annual fundraising banquet. Honorees are attendees of and/or graduates from Camden City Schools who have since given back to the school system and the Camden Community as a whole.
A longtime resident of Camden, Assemblyman Fuentes is a member of the Assembly Education Committee, and has passed legislation such as the Social Media Education Act aimed at strengthening our schools.
“I am truly honored to be recognized by such an important community organization,” said Assemblyman Fuentes. “Having the opportunity to show Camden’s students the possibilities that the future holds is so powerful. The Foundation does an amazing job of helping our young people advance at every level of education.”
Assemblyman Fuentes was among nine honorees for the evening, including retired teacher Claudia Cream, Dr. Tim Rhyme, Coach Glen Jackson and others.
“The amazing people honored tonight have done so much for our schools and our students that it is truly a tribute to be counted among them,” said Assemblyman Fuentes. “I have had the pleasure of working alongside many of them, and I know how deep their commitment to the Camden community runs.”
The Camden Schools Foundation is a non-profit organization created to support scholarships and cultural experiences for Camden City school children.
