Fuentes to Host Annual Charity Tennis Event

Proceeds to benefit Robins’ Nest of Glassboro

(CAMDEN) – Assemblyman Angel Fuentes (D-Camden/Gloucester) will host the 9th Annual Fuentes Charity Tennis Event this Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm at the Rutgers–Camden tennis courts. Each year, proceeds from the tennis event have been presented to local charities, such as My Brother’s Keeper and the Special Olympics. This year’s recipient will be Robins’ Nest in Glassboro.

“This event is a chance to give back to the organizations that do so much for our communities,” said Assemblyman Fuentes. “Robins’ Nest has been providing safe havens for children and their families for forty-five years. I am proud to be a small part of helping them continue in their important work.”

Robins’ Nest has been providing South Jersey’s at-risk youth with a stable environment since 1968. With over 50 programs directly focused on helping provide children’s services, Robins’ Nest has helped thousands of individuals through counseling, group homes, adoption and foster care support, crisis response and more.

“As a member of the Board of Directors of Robins’ Nest, I am grateful that Assemblyman Fuentes has chosen Robins’ Nest to be the recipient for this year’s charity tennis tournament,” said Debra Noll. “This outing not only provides much needed funds to support children and families right here in Camden County, but it also brings attention to an organization whose work in the community has helped bring hope and healing to thousands of children throughout South Jersey.”

Assemblyman Fuentes has been hosting the tennis tournament since his days on Camden City Council.
