AUDUBON) – Assemblyman Angel Fuentes (D-Camden/Gloucester) will be hosting a press conference on Monday, June 16, 2014 in the Camden City Council Chambers to launch the Fourth Annual Hispanic Leadership Summit, scheduled for September 20, 2014. Fuentes will be accompanied by other members of the Hispanic Leadership Association of New Jersey Host Committee, who will be announcing $6,000 in scholarships to incoming Rowan University freshmen.

Assemblyman Fuentes has chaired the Hispanic Leadership Summits to increase dialogue between members of the Hispanic community from all sectors, to help non-profit organizations access all level of government, to strengthen civic awareness, and to facilitate citizen participation in the electoral process. The events have included prominent Hispanic political, business and religious leaders from throughout the state and country, as well veterans, college students, non-profit organizations and more.

The theme of this year’s Summit is Hispanics Driven by a Purpose: Making our Mark. There are invaluable workshops for individuals to take advantage of, each designed to enhance the discussion of strengthening the Hispanic voice in New Jersey.

Fuentes is thankful to the Host Committee members who have worked diligently to make this and previous Summits as successful as they’ve been.
