GREENWALD: NO NEED TO WAIT TO SEEK FEDERAL STORM AID

(TRENTON) — Assembly Budget Chairman Louis D. Greenwald (D-Camden) released the following statement on Monday:

“With parts of South Jersey still reeling from the weekend storm, I see no reason to wait to seek federal financial assistance to help pay for storm cleanup and recovery.

“We know this storm was record-setting and is going to cost a lot of money that state and local governments and our taxpayers cannot afford.

“If we take our time seeking this money, I fear we may lose out to other states who were also hit by this storm.

“Let’s get started and seek this help, especially with another large storm on the way.”
