Greenwald Praises Response & Urges Charitable Help

Assembly Majority Leader Lou Greenwald (D-Camden/Burlington) released the following statement on Tuesday:

“The recovery from this storm will be long and difficult, but I am confident New Jerseyans will, as always, persevere. I urge everyone to remain safe as the recovery continues and adhere to the guidance of your emergency management officials.

“I especially want to thank the emergency responders who made this storm easier on everyone with their tireless courage. I also want to praise the President, the Governor and all the state, county and local officials who kept on top of the storm and endeavored to keep New Jersey safe. The destruction is devastating, but it could have been worse if not for everyone’s fine efforts.

“Now we look to help our neighbors and rebuild our state. Please consider donating to groups that can help, such as the Red Cross at www.redcross.org, 1-800-RED-CROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Also, if you can, call the states volunteer emergency response hotline at 1-800-JERSEY-7 (1-800-537-7397).

“The coming days and weeks will be difficult for many of our friends and neighbors, but if we work together, we will get it done.”
