GREENWALD: TIME FOR REAL EDUCATION SOLUTIONS, NOT RHETORIC

(VOORHEES)–Today Assembly Majority Leader Select Louis Greenwald (D-Camden) released the following statement:

“New Jersey’s public schools are among the best in the country. Still, the achievement gap in our schools is one that we must tackle. Ensuring all of New Jersey’s students have access to a quality education, regardless of race, income-level or ZIP code, must be our ongoing priority. We can and must do better.

“I am glad to see the Governor addressing this issue. I hope this means he is making a commitment to fund our schools in the way our Constitution demands, instead of his past policies of shortchanging kids in the classroom and sticking middle-class property taxpayers with higher bills.

“Today’s announcement begins a critically important discussion. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to develop real education solutions, not just more 30-second sound bites.”
