GREENWALD: WOLFE SHOULD SPEAK UP & JOIN FIGHT TO PROTECT PROPERTY TAXPAYERS

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Lou Greenwald (D-Camden) released the following statement Wednesday in response to a statement by Assemblyman David Wolfe (R-Ocean):

“Assemblyman Wolfe claims Gov. Christie is making tough choices with his tax-laden budget plan, but I wonder how the assemblyman is able to make that determination considering he has never asked a tough question during budget hearings.

“Assemblyman Wolfe would serve his constituents better by actually engaging in questioning and debate, rather than accepting with hardly a word the governor’s proposed tax increases.

“Assemblyman Wolfe’s insistence that we accept everything the Christie administration says is disrespectful to New Jerseyans and doesn’t move us any closer to a more affordable state.

“We ask tough questions year after year of both Democrats and Republicans, and will continue to do so.

“It would be more helpful if Assemblyman Wolfe, in fact, abandoned his tired partisan sniping and actually joined our discussion in a relevant manner.

“As opposed to sitting quietly by, I wish he would step up and join us in our fight to protect the property taxpayers.”
