GUSCIORA: DELAYING MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW WOULD BE INHUMANE

Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Mercer) released the following statement Friday supporting the Coalition for Medical Marijuana’s news conference calling for timely implementation of New Jersey’s new medical marijuana law sponsored by Gusciora:

“We understand that implementing this law is a complex process, but that’s also why we gave the administration six months to figure it out. The law is the law, and Gov. Christie must implement it. New Jersey will be the 14th state, so we’re not even breaking new ground here. I see no excuse for anything but timely and proper implementation of this law. The patients who need to rely on medical marijuana because they’re suffering from painful diseases such as cancer, AIDS and multiple sclerosis have waited too long for this relief. Forcing them to wait longer because of bureaucratic morass would be wrong and inhumane.”
