(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-Bergen, Hudson) released the following statement on the passage of the budget:
“Reopening state government has been the immediate priority since July first. New Jerseyans should not have had to endure a shutdown of state services, parks and beaches. The shutdown was an unnecessary disruption to the lives of our fellow New Jerseyans.
“The budget we released from committee and eventually passed in the Assembly put working families first, as they should be. With its passage, we put residents affected by the shutdown back to work, thankfully, limiting any further repercussions.”
