(TRENTON) – In light of the American Dream Mall shooting in East Rutherford earlier this week and the incident in the Brooklyn subway today, Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D- Bergen, Hudson) issued the following statement condemning gun violence:
“The tragedies in East Rutherford and Brooklyn indicate an upsurge in gun violence. These are heartbreaking and heinous acts that should never happen to anyone.
“My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. We must continue to have impactful discussions about gun violence and stay devoted to keeping our communities safe.”
